Megan Barker is a freelance graphic designer and creative strategist with a passion for concept development, art curation, and branding.
I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember. Growing up homeschooled on Vancouver Island, I spent my days drawing, writing, sewing, and even designing my own clothes. That early freedom to explore creativity shaped the way I approach design today with resourcefulness, curiosity, and intention.
In 2015, I launched my first brand-focused online business but later felt a strong pull to strengthen my technical skills and gain more confidence as a designer. In 2022, I graduated with honours from LaSalle College Vancouver with a Diploma in Graphic Design & Foundations and received the Outstanding Achievement Award. I was fortunate to learn from exceptional and caring professors at LaSalle, whose guidance has had a lasting impact on my work and creative approach.
Today, I work as a freelance designer with Farmboy Fine Arts, where I create presentation materials and visual assets for curated art collections in luxury, hospitality, and commercial spaces. This role allows me to merge strategy with creativity and contribute to impactful visual narratives on a large scale.
In addition to my ongoing work in the fine arts space, I accept a limited number of freelance projects in branding and creative direction, depending on scope and creative fit.
