Megan Barker is a freelance graphic designer and creative strategist with a passion for concept development, art curation, and branding
My journey into design began in 2015 when I launched an online business focused on brand development and consulting for women entrepreneurs. I loved the energy and creativity of working with startups, but I gradually felt a stronger pull to create more artfully and intentionally in my career.
In 2022, I returned to school to finish what I started nearly a decade earlier — graduating with honours from LaSalle College Vancouver with a Graphic Design & Foundation for Design Diploma and receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award.
I currently work as a freelance designer for Farmboy Fine Arts, creating presentation materials and visual assets for curated art collections in hospitality, commercial, and luxury spaces. This work has allowed me to merge strategy with creativity, and contribute to meaningful, visual storytelling at scale.
In addition to my ongoing work in the fine arts space, I accept a limited number of freelance projects in branding and creative direction, depending on scope and creative fit.

A little more about me
I grew up on Vancouver Island as a homeschooled kid with a love for all things creative — drawing, writing, beading jewelry, sewing, and even designing my own clothes. Thanks to my parents, I had the freedom to follow my curiosity, and that early creative spark still drives everything I do today.

In the depths of Canadian winter, I try to escape to Mexico whenever I can — to visit my sister, reconnect with friends, and soak up the vibrant colours and sunshine that inspire so much of my work.
I’m a beach bum at heart. Sharing music is my love language, and being home with my cats and plants is my happy place.
